The Person: The Sales Executive will be an energetic team player who is goal driven and enjoys a challenge.  They will be working in a fast paced environment to ensure that all customers are contacted 60 days prior to expiration dates and all interactions are logged, along with ensuring that all contact data is correct and up to date.  The Sales Executive will be experienced in high volume outbound dialling and will strive to exceed call targets.  The SE will be expected to achieve KPIs including renewal rates, adherence, quality and any other deemed necessary. They will be ambitious and keen to develop within their role.

Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Management
    • The Sales Executive should be the master of their pipeline. They need to understand where they stand with each customer and what the inhibitors are for each customer.
  • Forecasting
    • The Sales Executive should be able to accurately forecast what they expect to bring in each month. The Sales Executive may be asked to provide numbers on a weekly basis to track performance against the team objective.
  • Peer Coaching
    • The Sales Executive may be asked to assist teammates or share a best practice that has helped them to be successful. Sales Executives should be ready to assist new employees and be willing to do side by side training.
  • Phone Statistics
    • Each Sales Executive will be required to comply with and attain the account minimum phone statistic requirements. The requirements are based on the client needs and are subject to change as business needs change.
  • Product Knowledge
    • Each Sales Executive should be an expert on their individual account in understanding the needs of the client and being able to sell their products or service offerings. The SE should request additional training from his/her Sales Manager for any product or service offering that they feel uncomfortable with or that they require additional training on.
  • Email Communication
    • It is up to each Sales Executive to manage all incoming emails into their email inbox, and to ensure that they are responding in an appropriate timeframe while using superior email etiquette.
  • Market Intelligence
    • The Sales Executive is required to log interactions for each communication with the end customer. It is also important that the SE escalate any customer concerns that could affect the overall business of our client to their manager, who will in turn communicate the concern back to the client.
  • Daily Planning
    • Each Sales Executive should take 10-15 minutes at the end of their shift to properly plan for the next day and to map out a game plan for who they will call and what their best opportunities are.

Essential Criteria

  • Fluency in written and spoken English & French/Arabic/Italian/Swedish/German/Dutch
  • Minimum of 1 years telephone B2C or B2B sales experience, demand generation/lead generation with proven ability to deliver consistently strong measurable results.
  • Experience in achieving and exceeding targets in a highly target driven environment.

Additional info on the role:

The Sales Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining a good working relationship with their end customers, resellers, client account managers, distributors, and others who may be involved in the renewal across EMEA.  The SE is responsible for managing and maintaining their assigned territory by proactively instructing all end users who have previously purchased contracts to submit a purchase order to their related Reseller for the renewal. On receipt of the renewals data the SE will be expected to produce quotes to the reseller from Oracle, based on the pricing structure provided by Symantec. This role is heavily channel based and the SE will have to build a great working relationship with their resellers ensuring that they perform to the Symantec channel principles and deliver value to Symantec and the end users.  The SE will share reports and insight to the resellers so that they can monitor their progress. The SE will interact with Symantec’s in country teams in order to ensure the resellers and Distributors perform to their potential and there is consistent understanding across the organisation of where our focus should be. The SE will also be responsible for increasing Symantec’s service share by up selling promotions, product updates and cross upgrades.

HOURS OF WORK            

40 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern from Monday to Friday rotational shifts from 7am–7pm. Your operational hours may be subject to change due to operational requirements. The nature of your employment is such that you will work whatever hours may be necessary to fulfil the duties of your post. Flexibility is important. Obligations placed upon you and tasks required of you will inevitably vary and develop with the growth of the Company. Therefore as and when considered necessary or appropriate you are liable to transfer to or undertake other duties, within your competence and within reason, to meet fluctuations or priorities in work demands. Candidates will be required to complete a Personality Index evaluation and background check.  References required.

SALARY:

£16,500 + bonus (OTE £22,000)

TRAINING:

All new hires will receive in-depth training on products and sales processes prior to assuming sales responsibilities and must pass a final certification exam that includes a written test as well as a “live” role-playing test.

PROBATION PERIOD

There is a 6 month probationary period before confirmation of your contract status. If absence and lateness occur during probation (includes training/nesting and first 2 months on the floor) this could impact the decision on whether you pass your probation period.
