Buying Support Logisticks Specialist with French

Job Description

In order to set up a new internal service to support truck spot operations of the different AM sites in Europe, ArcelorMittal Business Center of Excellence is looking for candidates for a position of Purchasing Agent with French

You will be responsible for providing a transport solution for all the transport requests received:
  • Reception of the transport requests from AM North plants
  • Preparing and launching RFQ for spot purchases
  • Monitoring suppliers' responses, analyse and selection of the awarded carrier(s)
  • Communicate results to different stakeholders
  • Booking all the mandatory information in the system of the AM North plants (slot reservation, name of the company, name of the driver, truck registration plate...)
  • Ensure a good communication of the health and safety procedures in place in the site of loading
  • Declaration of the transport order in AML systems for invoicing purposes
  • Ensure follow up of the loading operations and deliveries if needed
  • Daily communication with transport and logistics teams, carriers and EPO
  • Daily reporting of the operations. Measurement of the impact

Our expectations:
  • University degree required
  • Previous experience in purchasing/logistics would be an asset
  • Strong organization skills
  • Experience with IT systems
  • General MS Office knowledge
  • Very good knowledge of English and French - Knowledge of Dutch - would be an asset
  • High energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and work in a team
