This role will manage a team of AR analysts who are responsible for timely and accurate preparation of day to day/ monthly/quarterly/annual AR deliverables. The role entails interaction with the business unit control teams and outsourced delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 8-9 AR Analysts to ensure accurate, on time preparation and submission of day to day, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the business unit
  • Accountable for Service delivery of activities performed by the team within the agreed timelimes per the SLA
  • Approve and ensure control completeness of journal entries, reconciliation, accruals, reserves to ensure the accuracy AR accounts during month end closing
  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations on accounts receivables, identify and investigate all variances and ensure that they are resolved timely
  • Support US GAAP and local audit with external auditors and communicate and manage deliverables
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis for internal customers
  • Provide daily technical accounting advice and policy guidance to business partners
  • Ensure timely communication of any issues to CBS Control and Reporting Lead
  • Maintain financial controls by adhering to policies and procedures; ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements
  • Support and provide input for corporate audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4-5 years of experience.
  • Financial technical skills achieved through experience and accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong communicator in English required and other language skills may be required
  • Intellectual capacity to link accounting concepts to underlying financial data systems in order to understand, analyse and interpret actual results and troubleshoot any issues with the data
  • Ability to integrate well within a team environment
  • Action and result oriented, attentive to deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project); ability to create complex formulas in Excel
  • Experience of Financial Systems and Databases e.g.,SAP
  • Must be detail-oriented, a quick learner, and self-motivated
  • Exhibit a strong 'can-do', 'will-do' attitude and strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines
