The role of French Teacher... Welcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition, and people are at the core of everything we do! As a French Teacher you'll be more than just an educator; you'll be an ambassador for our values, and a gatekeeper for our vibrant culture. You'll lead 30-45 minute French lessons supporting the children to learn the language and immerse them in cultural exploration.
By providing enriching lessons, you'll cater to different learning styles and ages from 3 months to 5 years, considering immersive ways to keep children engaged throughout the sessions, tailoring to the unique needs of each child and empowering them on their learning journey. As a language enthusiast, you'll teach songs, rhymes, and read stories, enriching language, social, and physical development through varied activities.
You're not just a teacher; you're a master organiser! Planning lessons in advance and assessing the children's learning are a key part of the role with an emphasis on developing the children's social communication skills. Integrating French into different activities such as snack time will aid the learning process.
Your primary focus will be creating a safe and inspiring learning environment where every child thrives. You'll be a team player ensuring that you provide the best and most enriching learning experience and stepping into the Nursery Educator role when not teaching French lessons. An ability to effectively communicate with parents, children and colleagues will set you apart and aid us in delivering the best experience possible.
We believe in celebrating every child's unique journey, and you'll play a key role in assessing and recording their progress and achievements. By aligning to our systems of observation, you'll ensure no milestone goes unnoticed, and every achievement is celebrated within the children's French lessons.
We take pride in creating a nurturing environment that caters to individual needs, acknowledging the diversity of each child's background, culture, disabilities, and medical history. Your flexibility and dedication, insights and feedback will be valued as we constantly push the boundaries of excellence and reimagine what exceptional early years education really means.
What we're looking for
For the French Teacher role, it is essential that you're fluent in speaking French. Experience working with children would be a bonus, but the passion to do so is a must. If the skills mentioned in the job description above suit you, we invite you to apply today.

The main garden is vast, thoughtfully divided into activity zones with a separate garden just for babies, plus an allotment area to learn in nature. Clerkenwell is a 60 place nursery, is rated 9.9 on Day Nurseries and was our very first UK Kido! As one proud parent recently shared, "The team at Kido Clerkenwell is amazing. From my first interaction with the Parent Relationship Manager, I knew this school was for my child. The kindness and patience shown from everyone is comforting. My child entered at 2 and a half years old not knowing a word of English and now (4 months later) can express himself with ease. I am grateful for the support given to me and my family since day one and recommend Kido Clerkenwell to any parent who is looking for a kind, nurturing, and stimulating nursery for their children."
Clerkenwell's charm extends to its location, just a walk away from Old Street, Barbican, Moorgate and Angel tube stations. The address is: Clements Hall, 141 Central Street, Clerkenwell, London, EC1V 8AP
