Senior Internal Auditor

About the Opportunity

At Hito Solutions, we are partnering with our client a leading global organization to find an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join their international audit team based in Porto.
This position offers high exposure to senior management, a truly multicultural environment, and a strong opportunity for professional growth.

Main Responsibilities

Conduct internal audits across multiple areas and business functions;
Assess compliance with Group policies, procedures, and internal controls;
Identify control gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement;
Prepare audit reports and present findings to local and Group management;
Recommend and follow up on corrective actions to ensure effective implementation;
Promote best practices and strengthen a culture of compliance and accountability.

Ideal Profile

8 to 10 years of relevant experience in internal or external audit;
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management;
CPA or CIA certification preferred;
Fluency in English and French (Spanish is an advantage);
Strong accounting and financial acumen with an analytical mindset;
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
Autonomous, proactive, and culturally open;
Willingness to travel internationally up to 40% of the time.
