· We are looking for a strong leader with excellent communication skills to lead a team of 3+ payroll analysts and/or assistants. · Conduct regular 1on1s, team meetings and help team members to develop. · Be the back-up of the Manager in his/her absence · Ensures payroll is processed accurately & timely for Amazon employees for the respective countries they manage · Payroll & Compliance estimation of funds requirement on a monthly basis for salary disbursement & Statutory due. · Liaise with the banks for timely salary credit · Work with the payroll vendor to process stop payments/reversals and assist with check distribution · Backup other payroll team leads as needed · Produce timely responses to our stakeholders inquiries received through emails and Trouble Tickets. · Ensure statutory compliance items are acted upon and closed at agreed deadlines. · Produce payroll metrics and compliance dashboard for their respective countries · Support The Manager in the completion of all open Controllership items. · Drive the implementation of all procedural changes following manager’s agreement with stakeholders. · Handle payroll audits · Ability to improve our customer experience
Experience/Skills required:
· A minimum of 2+ years’ experience managing payrolls · Experience leading a team in a shared service environment · Build, inspire and motivate the teams to raise the bar · Able to implement and execute the defined payroll strategy · Fluent in the English language · Basic French skill is an advantage · Strong communication skills · Able to meet tight deadlines · Strong analytical skill · Positive/can do attitude as well as the ability to balance multiple priorities · Customer focused - Employee support · Drive for operational excellence
· Experience working within a multinational company/environment · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Experience with managing, processing and validating the payroll · Able to work in a mixed collective bargaining agreement environment · Used to work in a metrics driven organization · Experience working with SOX compliance · Ensure compliance with local legislation, tax and social security laws · Liaise with key stakeholders for procedural changes · Maintaining and influencing the relationships with key internal and external partners · High sense of controller-ship · Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects. · Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. · A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
