Veritas' Worldwide Sales and Marketing team propels company growth by driving all aspects of sales and marketing, including direct and channel sales, global sales enablement and all marketing functions.

As a Renewals Sales Engineer (SE), you will be a member of the Technical Sales team within Customer Success and a technical focal point in the sales cycle for the renewal's sales representatives, Veritas inside/field sales, partners and customers.

Leveraging your expertise, you will help strengthen relationships with Veritas customers by connecting technology solutions to their business needs with the primary goal of maintaining the Veritas annuity stream.

As part of the Renewals SE team, you will be a key contributor in building confidence for renewals representatives, partners and customers in order to protect the installation base, maximize growth and increase market share.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with Veritas renewals sales representatives to provide technical assistance and expertise on demonstrating the value of Veritas solutions and offerings to our customers.
  • Leverage your creativity, technological knowledge, and business acumen by providing small to large enterprise businesses in the public and private sectors with the technical assistance and product education needed to protect and expand Veritas solutions during the renewals sales cycle.
  • Require the ability to sell deeper into the Veritas portfolio to meet customers' requirements and expand the Veritas footprint.
  • Establish yourself as the trusted advisor to the renewals representative, partner and customer, assisting in the demonstration and design of solutions using Veritas products and solutions in order to gain technical acceptance from the customer and drive sales/annuity revenue.
  • Provide on-going product and licensing enablement to renewals representatives and management, including collaborative training efforts with Enablement teams.
  • Continually develop and maintain technical expertise (products, technologies, competitors and trends) through self-study, trainings, certifications, etc.
  • Participate in all assigned team/peer meetings, QBRs and huddles.
  • Maintain regular communication to management and stakeholders of key issues, changes and risk that may impact expected business results.
  • Minimal travel required, may support Veritas corporate marketing events, customer site visits and internal meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Must be well-versed in Veritas licensing models to properly analyze and articulate licensing guidance/position during renewals opportunities.
  • This position requires previous or existing experience with Veritas products and/or must have the ability to quickly ramp up in order to adapt in this dynamic environment.
  • In-depth experience with one or more of Veritas' corporate-level solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Veritas licensing methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in systems administration, pre-sales or related technical field.
  • In-depth knowledge of various server and client operating systems such as Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms in physical and virtual environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of various data center technologies such as server, storage, networking, virtualization, business continuity, disaster recover, etc.
  • Ability to handle project management responsibilities for implementation of company related solutions assigned by the manager.
  • Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to relate to a wide range of technical staff and managers in customer environments.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills are required.
  • Fluency in French
