Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are currently seeking French Qualified Commercial Lawyer to join our client, initially for an 8 month contract, with the possibility of an extension, on a part time and flexible basis.

This position offers a unique opportunity for a lawyer with a strong background in commercial law to engage in significant projects while providing crucial legal support. If you are looking to take on a challenging role with the flexibility of remote work, we encourage you to apply.

Key Objectives:
  • Provide advice on general commercial law matters and contracts.
  • Contribute to a major M&A deal by working on the associated commercial contracts.
  • Act as the sole in-house counsel for the French team, with robust support from external counsel.
  • This role is a part time opportunity to work 25 hours a week on a flexible basis.

Person specification:
  • Must be a French Qualified Lawyer as this is a legal position supporting a team in France.
  • We expect this assignment to suit a mid-level associate although are open to applications from all PQE levels.
  • Looking for consultant based in the UK to work remotely.
  • Fluent or native French speaker and proficient in English.
  • Experience in Real Estate or Energy law would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • You will have excellent communication and time management skills.
  • You can work autonomously but can also collaborate effectively as part of the wider team.
  • You will be required to hold the relevant right to work for the UK, visa sponsorship is not available via Adaptive.
