About the role

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in a pivotal role. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our Global Procurement strategy. Outside of day-to-day procurement activities, you will be responsible for analysing data and engaging stakeholders, both internal and external, to quantify and validate opportunities and risks.

What you will be doing

Procurement Activities (50%)

  • Handle the end-to-end process of Purchase Requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Manage Purchase Orders, working with various stakeholders to meet their procurement needs
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and ease of collaboration
  • Facilitating smooth transitions between Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders
  • Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate and resolve any issues related to invoicing, delivery, and other procurement matters
  • Oversee the entire procure-to-pay process, from requisition to invoice, and efficiency in every step
  • Verify and match goods receipts with purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness

Strategy and Planning (20%)

  • Analyze spending patterns to identify business trends and enhance procurement efficiency
  • Prepare materials for strategy workshops and planning sessions
  • Monitor progress against strategic category plans and procurement target
  • Validate findings and recommendations with procurement leaders and stakeholders.
  • Aid in developing work plans to execute agreed-upon strategies and support leadership in drafting executive papers, contracts, and business cases for strategic initiatives

Project Leadership (20%)

  • Lead specific projects across the procurement team
  • Manage project stakeholders and risk

Training and Development (10%)

  • Develop and deliver training in analysis, problem solving, project planning & governance, business case development and other skills

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience qualification
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement and or supply chain
  • Proficiency in relationship management and strategy development
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Effective relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in English and French languages required
  • Must be willing to work between 9:00PM to 6:00AM or 10:00PM to 7:00AM
