DescriptionThe primary focus of a Business Development Consultant is to generate pipeline for the Oracles Global Business Units (GBU). The GBUs focus on Industry specific applications that are typically mission critical to that company. Pipeline is primarily generated through outbound campaigns by emailing, social and phone outreach. In addition, BDCs will typically receive some level of inbound Marketing Qualified leads to follow up on. As a Business Development Consultant, you will act as the first contact for many prospects starting sales cycles for industry specific solutions. A BDC qualifies prospects and produces quality leads & opportunities for the GBU Field Sales Team.

Our 12-15 month program is centered around pipeline generation and talent development. Our BDCs are trained regularly on core sales skills. Including new hire training, solution messaging & ongoing sales skills training. BDCs work closely with a team of field sales represents who collaborate, share best practices and strategize with their BDC.

Your Responsibilities:• Sourcing & qualifying quality pipeline for our field sales representative
• Strategizing and collaborating with field sale and marketing program stakeholder
• Engaging prospects by email, social and phone focusing on decision makers at the director, VP and C level
• Building a knowledge of the Oracle ecosphere and GBU solutions. Becoming a trusted advisor to prospect
• Uncovering & qualifying prospective customer needs by understanding business challenges and engaging with key decision-making personas.
• Demonstrating initiative, creativity & collaboration through ad-hoc projects for various department
• Displaying teamwork, sharing best practices, collaboration and mentoring new hire
About You:- You have a Bachelor's Degree.
- You have 1+ years of sales, business development or sales related experience. Software and technology experience is not required. A high preference for candidates with some prospecting experience
- You have a strong desire for a career in sales, working for a top tier technology company
- You are goal oriented with strong communication skills (verbal & written).
