What you need to know about this position:

My Work and Life Events Specialist forms part of the BU squad and provides generalist HR advice and guidance on HR policies, processes and general colleague queries. The Specialist liaises with People Experience Advisors to ensure alignment with and correct execution of Work and Life Events services to supported BU. The Specialist receives management and process guidance from My Work and Life Events Lead and works closely with Team Lead to ensure quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Delivery
  • Responsible for executing processes in line with policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of enabling technologies, systems (e.g. Workday) and processes in order to ensure high quality service delivery.
  • Responsible for executing data changes or system transactions where self-service isn't viable in accordance with SOP.
  • Responsible for escalating queries for support to the My Work and Life Events Lead or People Experience Lead where appropriate.
  • Accountable for completing relevant research to support query resolution.
  • Responsible for document management and archiving of employee documents into the personal file inclusive of e-filing, storage of physical records / documents, managing access and circulation, and retention and deletion as required.
  • Working flexibly across other teams within the Shared Service Centre as volumes in the centre fluctuate.


Continuous Improvement
  • Responsible for collaborating with My Work and Life Events Lead and People Experience Lead to understand and implement processes, focusing on employee experience and continuous improvement of employee life events.
  • Responsible for identifying service issues, proactively proposing improvements and leading or supporting the implementation of changes.


Subject Matter Expertise
  • Owns confidential and more complicated cases.
  • Manages the training of new Work & Life Advisors and supports through training plan period.
  • Ensures control requirements are met in every HR transaction.
  • Completes internal audits and coach Advisors throughout outcomes and challenges and sharing insights to Team Leads.
  • Acts as a support to Team Lead and takes ownership of the activities and deputise when required.
  • Support on projects, coaching the advisors on projects and updating team lead as required.
  • Super User responsibilities.


What You Will Bring
  • Minimum 2-3 years of previous relevant experience in Human Resources, Customer Service or Administrative function in a SSC/BPO set up.
  • Fluent in English and in one of the following languages - French, Spanish, Dutch (must have).
  • Attention to detail & high level of prioritization skills.
  • Hands on attitude with focus on solving problems.
  • Team player that can build long lasting positive relations with direct team, colleagues & stakeholders.


Nice to have:
  • Experience in training colleagues, sharing knowledge, acting as SME in a relevant market.
