Buyer Spain - Rail Transport

Job Description

Within the Center of Excellence Land Logistics, the Rail Team purchases all transports by rail in Europe.

The position is based in Spain, Aviles. The team is international.

Mission and Responsibilities

1. Purchase the transport by rail of all types of goods like raw materials, scraps, semi-products and finished products for the Spanish plants & import to Spain from the other European plants.
2. Responsibility of a spend ~60M€.
3. Collect the needs and implement the contracts with the logistic & supply chain teams of our plants
4. Follow-up the rail transport (volume, spend, issues...)
5. Prepare and push the improvement of the business (taking benefits of the experiences made by the other members of the team for their own perimeters): introduce changes in production mode, commercial relation, supplier portfolio.
6. Prepare and implement the purchasing strategy for the geographical perimeter as part of the global strategy for Europe.
7. Take care of the purchasing rules and methodology, assume the compliance guidelines.
8. Prepare the documents like activity report, financial report, file for approval or submission.
9. Take care of the price management in the tools (SAP, Oracle...)

Requirements

• Master in Economics, Engineering, Supply chain
• Experience within procurement - min 5 years
• As our contracts are very important both for our customers and EBITDA plants, reliability is one major key for success.
• A good ease facing numbers is mandatory.
• Able to prepare strategy, to establish partnership with key accounts like.
• Open minded
• Team spirit
• Good relationship
• Spanish language as native and fluent English are mandatory, fluent French is advantageous
