About the Role

As a French Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring students' interest in the French language and culture. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for language learning, with a strong commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive French lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
• Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes active participation and fosters a love for the French language.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods, including the use of technology, to cater to diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development of the French curriculum and departmental planning.
• Maintain high expectations for student behavior and cultivate positive relationships with students.
• Participate in departmental and whole-school activities, collaborating with colleagues to ensure a consistent and effective approach to teaching and learning.

We are seeking a candidate with:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in French.
• A minimum of two years' experience teaching French in a secondary school setting (ideally).
• A demonstrably strong track record of achievement in raising student attainment in French.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• The ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
• A passion for the French language and culture and a desire to inspire students.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
