Technical Delivery Manager with French (IT)

Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.

The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

Job Description

We are looking for Technical Delivery Manager with French (IT) to join Sopra Steria Polska lead a team responsible for ensuring the availability, continuity, and performance of critical IT services. In this role, you will oversee production and IT operations, drive operational excellence through ITIL best practices, manage service delivery and major incidents, and support secure, reliable, and efficient operations in a complex enterprise environment. You will also collaborate with infrastructure, security, and client stakeholders to maintain service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Please note that we can only consider candidates located in Poland who are open to working in a hybrid model with regular attendance at our Katowice office.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure service availability, continuity, and operational performance across production, support, and IT operations.
• Manage operational managers and IT operations teams, define objectives, develop employees' skills, and contribute to recruitment and retention activities.
• Oversee SLA compliance, on-call activities, major incident management, and crisis communications.
• Implement ITIL best practices, manage ITIL processes, operational risks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to security policies, DRP/BCP requirements, and quality, security, and compliance initiatives.
• Manage operational tools, scheduling, monitoring, data flows, and automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure teams, the CISO, and clients, including operational governance, performance reporting, audits, and escalations.
• Contribute to quotation preparation for RUN operations and BUILD projects.
• Be available for on-call duties and support critical incident management as needed.

Qualifications

Must have requirements:

• Experience in IT Operations, including production and managed services environments.
• Strong knowledge of job scheduling tools (e.g. OpCon, Control-M, Dollar Universe) and secure file transfer platforms (e.g. CFT, GoAnywhere, MFT).
• Experience with ticketing, monitoring, and supervision tools (e.g. ServiceNow, EasyVista).
• Good understanding of Windows, Linux, IBM i, and supporting infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing IT operations/production teams with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Strong crisis management, decision-making, analytical, customer-focused, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Communicative French and Polish (min. B2).
• Availability for on-call duties and support of critical incident management.

Nice to have requirements:

• Experience in banking or other critical environments.
• Knowledge of SAB AT.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of DORA, ISO 27001, and DRP/BCP requirements.
• ITIL certification.

The recruitment process for this position consists of two stages:
