2026 Off-cycle Internship - Tech - French language expert - Zurich

Your role
Interested in working in finance, specifically in shaping user experience and making digital banking easy to use and understand, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Group Technology.
You'll get to:
• translate content from English and German into French, crafting clear, natural and genuinely human user experiences with support from the team
• help shape a consistent voice, tone and terminology across our digital products, ensuring a seamless experience for users
• develop and manage our multilingual terminology database, collaborating with team members to ensure accurate, up-to-date and consistent terminology across languages
• collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of UX writers, localization professionals, designers, engineers and business stakeholders
• explore and leverage CAT tools, AI tools and new technologies especially to support terminology extraction and validation
Your role will focus primarily on translation (around 50%) and terminology management (around 40%), complemented by work involving language tools, technology, and innovation initiatives.
Your team
Join the software localization team in Zurich and help shape our world-class multilingual user experience on UBS Digital Banking. We are a team of passionate language experts dedicated to making UBS products and services accessible, intuitive and engaging across languages and markets. Through our work, we help users feel confident and supported, ensuring every interaction is as seamless and meaningful as possible, regardless of the language they choose.
Your expertise
We're looking for a candidate who:
• has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor's degree and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor's or master's degree), preferably in translation or a related field
• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
• is a native French speaker with excellent English and German skills; additional language skills, such as Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese or Chinese, are a plus.
• has outstanding localization and editing skills, and can critically evaluate content to ensure it is accurate, engaging, and fit for purpose
• is passionate about delivering high-quality translations and has a strong eye for detail
• is sensitive to the needs of audiences from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• has a strong interest in multilingual terminology and terminology database management
• has experience with CAT tools and AI-powered language tools
• is committed to staying up to date with the latest developments in artificial intelligence and best practices in post-editing
• enjoys working in a dynamic environment where they can actively contribute to shaping and improving our processes
• is eager to learn and enjoys working in an international team
• is curious, enjoys asking questions, and brings forward new and innovative ideas
• can quickly grasp new subject areas and concepts
• is eager to learn and open to receiving and implementing feedback
• has programming skills (a plus)
