Account Director (French Speaking)

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and self-motivated Account Director to join our Amsterdam Research team to work on global client accounts within the FMCG industry. This role offers a clear progression path, global training opportunities and an excellent people first culture.

The successful candidate must be fluent in both English and French and have worked in a similar role previously.

A bit about the role:

This is a client-facing role within the research team, with the primary aim of developing small and medium sized accounts by growing, managing and maintaining client relationships. This role will also have the additional responsibility of working alongside the Business Unit lead in identifying and growing the client portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

• Client interaction, research design, proposal writing and taking responsibility for quality of project delivery

• Adding significant commercial value to debrief presentations via data interpretation

• The focus of business development will be in building and growing long term relationships with existing clients.

• Proactively promoting the MMR brand and identifying new business opportunities within new markets.

• Analysing data (both quantitatively and qualitatively)

• Creating insightful presentations

• Adding commercial value to your clients and in doing so growing your accounts and strengthening your relationships

As a hands-on researcher with sector knowledge, commitment to excellence in delivery, and assured confidence, you will be able to add real insight at debriefs. Experience in, and enjoyment of management is essential as you will be required to help coach and mentor more junior team members. This coaching and mentoring aspect will require you to build a complete understanding of the full project cycle in order to be able to help develop others.

Requirements

Skills and Qualities:

• Previous experience within an ad-hoc agency environment, essential

• Quantitative experience is essential and exposure to qualitative, preferable

• Experience of involvement in report writing, essential

• Ability to tell a story from the data is essential

• Strong organisational & time management skills, required

• Experience within FMCG beneficial, ideally including product testing

• Experience of identifying and growing new business accounts

• Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude

• Naturally curious

• Proactive and forward thinking

• Builds relationships easily

• Excel in working in a team environment, and relish the challenges that brings

• Proficiency in English and French languages.
