Accounts Payable (AP) Professional with Advanced French

Our Shared Services Center provides a broad area of services: finance and HR related, account and segment support, cockpit and reporting, sales and marketing campaigns, research and presentations, accelerators, customer experience management, data government, as well as other functions.

Primary Functions and Tasks:

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with advanced French skills to join our Finance team. In this role, you will contribute to the smooth running of financial operations while collaborating closely with international teams, Business stakeholders, and Senior Management. The position combines accounting expertise with operational coordination and continuous process improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• Review incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with internal policies (Vendor Master Data, Compliance guidelines, Process Maps, Work Instructions, Firm-Wide Accounting Guidelines) and legal requirements.
• Process supplier invoices in the system (xFlow/SAP) in line with established procedures.
• Validate vendor and accounting data and release invoices for payment.
• Identify missing invoices and proactively follow up with relevant stakeholders (Business teams, Finance).
• Manage vendor communication, including reminders, dunning letters, and payment-related queries.
• Execute payments (automated and manual), including:
  
  • Processing payment proposals
  • Preparing payment lists and files
  • Coordinating with Finance/Country Controllers for manual payments
• Maintain vendor accounts by investigating and resolving open items and discrepancies.
• Generate reports and provide insights as requested by Finance or Business stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier transactions (e.g. credits, advances, commissions, taxes) and support clarifications when needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounts Payable process.
• Support system and process enhancements in collaboration with IT and external providers.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation, reports, and process descriptions.
• Perform internal control activities (e.g. duplicate checks, sample verifications, vendor validation).
• Support additional finance-related activities as needed.

We are looking for:

• University degree in Economics or a related field.
• Advanced French and English skills (written and spoken).
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar Finance role.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
