FACULTY POSITION IN FRENCH HORN (PART-TIME)
The Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, offers a unique and adventurous 21st century Asian environment in which we train and educate performers, composers and recording engineers to take advantage of future professional and artistic opportunities both in Singapore and in the world. The Conservatory is distinctively international in terms of its faculty, student population and artistic outlook. Our mission is to be a focal point for musical activity, artistic development and research, both for Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
The Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music is seeking an outstanding artist/teacher of French Horn to join its faculty. This is a part-time position. The initial term of appointment shall be for one year (renewable). Applicants should have significant performance experience as a soloist and/or chamber musician and the desire and experience to teach gifted Conservatory students. In addition to maintaining a dynamic French Horn studio, the candidate will also be active in recruiting students to the Conservatory through both national and international involvement at various levels, including targeted pre-tertiary programs and similar organizations. In addition, the postholder will offer secondary study tuition to a select number of the Conservatory's instrumental students.

Qualifications
Requirements for interested applicants include:
- A Masters or good Honours degree in Music or equivalent in areas relevant to conservatory training.
- An exceptional performer as well as a dedicated teacher with a proven track record of teaching at an elite performance level.
- Significant performance experience as a soloist and/or orchestra/chamber musician
- Teaching experience in a conservatory or other tertiary-level institutions focused on professional training in areas of music including performance, pedagogy, and artistic research.
- A passion for teaching, engaging and supporting undergraduate conservatory students.
- Works well in a collaborative and innovative conservatory environment.
