Purpose of the PositionAs an Associate within the Continental Europe Investor Relations team, the candidate will be required to provide investors and prospects with excellent service and showcase their ability to initiate, plan and execute a variety of ad hoc as well as recurring tasks.
Working as part of a larger team, the candidate will support the servicing of top-tier clients across French speaking Europe (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Suisse Romande) and will take a leading role in the collation and analysis of a wide range of data points from around the firm, to be delivered by succinct and comprehensive written and oral communication to the end investor, prospect or consultant. The role will also entail some administrative and project management duties in order to ensure the smooth running of the Investor Relations function.
Key Responsibilities- Support, co-ordinate and assist the Relationship Manager(s) with the day-to-day management of existing investor relationships as well as the investor activities within a specified region/regions
- Independently coordinate, produce and analyse presentation materials, cash flow forecasts, fee/performance data, due diligence materials, for client update meetings and prospecting activities
- Maintain and analyse detailed records of client and prospecting activities so as to support the Relationship Manager(s) with identifying leads
- Lead the closing/transfer process for new and existing investors
- Independently coordinate and support end to end RFP processes by collecting and preparing data and guide the RFP team as required
- Establish and maintain relationships with teams across Pantheon as well as external service providers to produce and collate relevant and value add data and ensure both data and client/prospect activities are compliant
- Support your colleagues and the junior team in their day-to-day activities by providing timely advice and feedback, share knowledge and experience to help us meet team objectives
- Some managerial responsibilities and training of the junior team
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and Pantheon policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct.
The role will be both internally and externally facing. While the externally facing part of the role will involve attending meetings, a material amount of this work will be internally facing (co-ordination with the Relationship Managers as well as marketing, operations, investment and legal teams) and much of the investor contact will be conducted by phone and email. All non-standard marketing materials produced will be referred to the line manager (and compliance where appropriate) prior to its external circulation. The successful candidate will be results driven and is able to demonstrate a passion for investor relations combining analytical as well as interpersonal skills with the aim to deliver an outstanding experience for the investor.
Knowledge & Experience Required- Strong knowledge of the asset management and Private Markets industry;
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills;
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and judgement;
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of initiative;
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines/under pressure with minimum supervision;
- Excellent written and verbal skills with native level fluency in French and English;
- Proficiency with computers and software packages; in particular Excel and
- Educated to degree level is essential
- The IMC or equivalent may be necessary at a later stage
