Business Developer - French Speaker

At Shakers, we're on the lookout for a Business Developer for France to take our European expansion to the next level

1. Team and Role

If you have experience building strong relationships with local stakeholders and top clients, thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, and are ready to participate in the expansion of a fast-growing business in France-we want to meet you.

This role offers the opportunity to identify those companies in France that can scale their business by reducing costs and boosting productivity-matching them with the best Tech Freelancers through our platform. If you're excited about driving growth in a new market, collaborating with a talented international team, and making a real impact, this is your opportunity!

You'll be based in Madrid with occasional travel to France for marketing events and client meetings.

2. What you'll be doing

Your day-to-day as a Business Developer for the French market:

• Build, manage and grow a portfolio of French clients, increasing conversion, retention, and repeat usage.
• Understand each company's pain points and goals, and communicate our value proposition effectively.
• Build trust with decision-makers and technical teams to help them adopt and scale freelance talent solutions.
• Execute Account-Based strategies to uncover new opportunities within existing clients.
• Own and report your KPIs, client pipeline, account plans, and sales forecasts weekly and monthly.
• Collaborate closely with Talent and Ops to ensure the successful delivery of freelance teams to your accounts.

3. What we're looking for

You're a great fit if you...

• Have 2-7 years of experience in business development, client management, tech sales, consulting or similar roles in the startup or tech ecosystem.
• Are fluent in French (native) and fluent in Spanish. Knowledge of English and other European languages is a plus.
• Understand the French business culture and are comfortable engaging with both startups and large corporations.
• Have strong "farming" and "hunting" skills to manage and expand a client portfolio.
• Are results-oriented, ambitious and excited about building something from scratch.
• Are tech-savvy and confident speaking with both C-level and technical profiles.
• Are highly organized, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a hands-on attitude and love taking full ownership of your market and accounts.
• Having a portfolio of high-level contacts in France is a big plus.

4. What's in it for you?

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between 47.250€ and 70.000€ OTE (on-target earnings) gross annual salary.

It includes:

• Between 27.000€ & 40.000€ fixed salary
• Up to 3.000€ quarterly bonus based on performance & potential (7.5%)
• Uncapped commissions
