Your Role at CabotAs a Buyer You will be responsible for supporting specific Cabot production site. The core responsibilities will be obtaining goods and services that are necessary for running smooth operations.
In this role, you will be working with established vendors to procure standard (centrally sourced) items and with the selection of suppliers for non-centrally sourced items. The common purchasing duties for a Buyer include: procuring items for the manufacturing plants, setting up and managing bid requests, and working with internal customers to identify and understand purchasing needs.
This role is part of Global Purchasing team that is based in Riga and provides procurement services to a number of manufacturing facilities and offices globally.
How You Will Make an Impact- Manage supplier data on ongoing basis.
- Establish and maintains a supply base for products and services purchased.
- Foster and maintain positive business relationships with suppliers and production sites.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services that meet quality, timing and price terms.
- Resolve any commercial issues and coordinates quality claims through Purchasing Managers.
- Contribute to supplier assessments for Regional or Global purchased items as required.
- Report findings pertaining to elimination or reduction of costs.
What You Will Bring to Cabot- Previous experience in purchasing/sales/customer facing roles will be considered as advantage.
- Good knowledge of standard MS Office software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Excellent English & French language skills.
- Czech or German language skills will be considered as an advantage.
Additional Information - Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:30
- Permanent contract.
- Salary: 1550 - 1750 EUR Gross.
- Monthly allowance & Yearly bonus.

- Hybrid work schedule (3 days on site and 2 days' work from home).
