A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Buyer, you will be efficiently executing operational purchasing processes (goods, materials, and services) to ensure that the operational needs are met (considering price, quality, on-time delivery) as well as continuity of supply. Processes incoming customer requests (workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, email requests, etc.) ensuring agreed cycle time and quality standards while maintaining high customer/user satisfaction.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Processes purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers
• Purchase order management, including tracking/expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials in accordance with demand
• Ensures items are delivered on time and expedited where necessary
• Communicates with suppliers concerning order-related items, such as delivery dates, and escalates risks to relevant stakeholders
• Monitors supplier delivery and quality performance. Escalates findings to relevant stakeholders and addresses performance issues with suppliers as necessary
• Maintains and updates supplier master data to ensure that the database accurate and up-to-date
• Negotiates prices and payment terms (low-threshold transactions)
• Demonstrates strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high quality standards
• Communicates efficiently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Actively seeks process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas (e.g. MoQ optimization, bundling of purchase orders, etc.)

What You Bring

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, engineering, and/or operations, manufacturing functions
• English & French language - advanced level
• Intercultural mindset and adapting to country-specific particularities
• Very good interpersonal skills, along with problem solving and proactive skills
• You are a team-player but you also like to work independently
• Highly motivated to work in an international matrix organization and to collaborate cross-functional
