We are currently looking for consecutive interpreters for a time-bound finance transition project. Please find the details below:
Position Title: Consecutive Interpreter - French, Italian, Vietnamese, Thai, Greek, and Polish to English (Finance Domain)
Project Type: Contract - 2 Months (Full-time, Transition Project)
Project Overview
We are seeking experienced consecutive interpreters to support a finance and accounting transition project for an international school business. The project involves transitioning operations from France, Italy, Vietnam, Thailand, Greece, and Poland to India.
The role requires interpreters to:
- Join live transition and knowledge transfer sessions
- Understand content in the source language
- Interpret, explain, and transfer knowledge into English for the India team
This is a business-critical assignment requiring strong language expertise, finance domain knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
Languages Required
- French → English
- Italian → English
- Thai → English
- Vietnamese → English
- Greek → English
- Polish → English
Preferred: Native speakers
Also acceptable: Non-native linguists with strong finance/accounting interpretation experience
Domain Requirements
Candidates must have prior experience in Finance & Accounting interpretation or business transition support, including:
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- General Accounting
- Journal Entries
- Reconciliations
- Financial Reporting
- Month-end activities
- School/education finance processes (preferred)
- Shared services/transition projects
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Training Support
- Attend client training sessions in the respective language
- Understand finance processes (AP, AR, GL, etc.)
- Take structured notes
- Share queries via chat
- Avoid live verbal translation during sessions to prevent delays
- Support via chat-based translation and relay queries to the client
2. Post-Training Knowledge Transfer (KT)
- Conduct training sessions in English for the India team
- Ensure full understanding of the content
- Address queries and track open items
3. Daily Workflow
- Client training: 3-4 hours/day
- Break: ~1 hour
- India KT session: Post-break
- Maintain notes/MOMs and a list of pending clarifications
4. Real-Time Coordination
- Collaborate with client trainers, India team, and delivery manager
- Use chat channels for live queries and clarifications
5. SOP & Documentation Support
- Review auto-generated SOPs (in English)
- Translate SOPs into respective languages
- Validate accuracy and prepare client-ready documentation
6. Post-Training (BAU Support)
- Provide language support during ramp-up
- Assist with transaction-level translation and daily clarifications
Work Schedule & Availability
- Work as per client time zone (LATAM)
- Availability: 10 hours/day
- Weekend support may be required
