Inviting applications for the role of Consultant - French Translator Support

In this role, we are seeking a skilled and experienced French Translator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately translating a variety of documents from English to French and vice versa. The ideal candidate will have strong linguistic skills, attention to detail, and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documents, including but not limited to, articles, reports, marketing materials, website content, and legal documents, from English to French and vice versa.

• Ensure the accuracy and quality of translations, paying attention to grammar, punctuation, and cultural nuances.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in terminology and style across translations.

• Conduct research as needed to ensure the accuracy and relevance of translations.

• Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications

Any one of the following in French:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Immersion programs or Additional course

• Specialized Training

• Internships or work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience as a translator, with a focus on English to French and French to English translations.

• Excellent proficiency in both English and French, with strong writing and communication skills in both languages.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in translation software and tools is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.

• Cultural sensitivity and awareness of linguistic nuances.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
