Consultant - Proposal Support (French)

Job Description

WSP is seeking a Content and Proposal Writer (French) to support our Canada-based Research & Innovation Team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and managing proposals, discussion papers, collateral, and other marketing materials to ensure the efficient development of proposals. The proposals you will work on showcase innovative and impactful new services and approaches across various disciplines, with a strong focus on digital innovation, machine learning, and IoT. Highlighting the societal impact of these initiatives will be key.

In addition to proposal work, you will support the marketing team in preparing qualifications packages and other deliverables.

This role will be based in the Noida/ Bengaluru office.

Responsibilities

• Develops and writes content for WSP proposals, discussion papers, Grants, collateral and other marketing deliverables
• Serves as an author for sections on proposals to convey technical information simply and to tell our story
• Provides copy editing, proofreading, and final reviews for our proposals and marketing deliverables
• Helps edit down copy to meet page limitations
• Delivers high-quality writing for proposals and presentations, including gathering information through research, statistical reports, and interviews with technical staff
• Leverages resources across the firm to support all stages of the pursuit and differentiate WSP to the client
• Supports the development of differentiators, value propositions, and key messages
• Applies new technologies and innovations across the business for proposals and presentations, including creative media approaches and other types of digital tools
• Provides support/guidance to the proposal development and delivery team and ensures the greatest possibility of success by supporting compliance, readability, quality and sales messaging of pursuit related materials
• On an as-needed basis, supports marketing coordinators and managers with proposal production
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a degree in Engineering
• French competency level C1 is prerequisite
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant role
• Ability to write and produce stellar, compelling content under tight deadlines
• Understanding of journalistic writing styles, including the inverted pyramid approach
• Ability to follow a style guide like AP
• Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, marketing strategy development, group facilitation, and teamwork
• Possesses a strategic mindset and sound judgment
• Ability to build trust and influence others and work with all levels of staff
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications-related software programs
• A self-motivated team member, who demonstrates initiative to go above and beyond the task at hand, and can effectively multitask
• Cultural awareness, conscientious and open mind.
