As a Data Scientist/Data Engineer at Datwave, you will develop and implement advanced solutions that drive digital transformation for our clients. You'll lead complex projects from ideation to production, collaborating closely with clients and interdisciplinary teams to create value through technological innovation.
Required Skills: - Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related STEM field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Data Science or Data Engineering
- Expertise in data exploration, analysis, and model creation
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in PySpark or Scala
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and data/model versioning frameworks (e.g., MLFlow, DVC)
- Fluent in professional Italian and English
Nice to Have Skills: - Knowledge of Big Data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, Flume, Kafka, Airflow)
- Experience with testing methodologies (unit, functional, performance)
- Familiarity with container platforms (e.g., Docker) and dashboarding for data visualization
- Certifications in Data Engineering (e.g., Google Professional Data Engineer)
- Real-time pipeline experience and Agile methodologies
