Position Overview

The Deputy Head of French School for the academic year 2026-2027 at Madinaty Integrated Language School will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of School in the leadership, management, and strategic development of the French School under the Egypt Education Platform. The role encompasses oversight of academic programs, student welfare, staff development, and operational excellence to ensure a high-quality French international education aligned with the French Ministry of Education standards and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership

• Support curriculum implementation in accordance with French National Education guidelines.
• Assist in monitoring teaching quality and learning outcomes across all grade levels.
• Collaborate with department heads and teachers to foster academic excellence and continuous improvement.

2. Staff Development and Supervision

• Participate in recruitment, induction, and appraisal of teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Lead professional development initiatives that promote best teaching practices and pedagogical innovation within the French education framework.
• Support teacher mentoring and performance management processes.

3. Student Welfare and Discipline

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with counselors and support staff to address student welfare and disciplinary issues.
• Promote positive behavior management and student engagement.

4. Operational and Strategic Support

• Assist in development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
• Support school accreditation processes as per French and international standards.
• Contribute to strategic planning and school-wide initiatives aligned with the Egypt Education Platform mission and vision.

5. Community Engagement

• Foster positive relationships with parents, local authorities, and partner organizations.
• Represent the school at local educational forums and events as needed.

Reporting and Collaboration

• Reports directly to the Head of the French School.
• Works closely with grade-level coordinators, teaching staff, administrative teams, and external stakeholders.

Success Criteria

• Demonstrated improvement in teaching and learning outcomes.
• Successful implementation of curriculum and compliance with French educational standards.
• Positive feedback from staff, students, and parents.
• Effective support of school operations and strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Fluency in French and strong command of English; excellent communication skills in both languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, French Language, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a French international school or similar setting.
• Previous leadership experience in an educational environment, preferably as Deputy Head or similar role.
• Strong understanding of the French National Education system and curriculum standards.
• Experience with school accreditation and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to lead and inspire teaching staff and foster a positive school culture.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Commitment to student welfare, safeguarding policies, and inclusivity.
• Willingness to contribute to community and parental engagement activities.
