The
Engineering Delivery Manager is responsible for developing and leading projects or work packages that are carried out in Thales Bucharest within an international environment (cooperating with other Thales entities) and is accountable for quality, budget and schedule, according to Software Development & Test Center strategy and objectives.

ResponsabilitiesYou have the role of project manager and are the main point of contact at our Bucharest site, for our business teams in France (Industry, Transport, Energy).
You will interface daily with the project directors based in France and the project teams based in Bucharest.
You will be responsible for
- Transition and start-up of IT projects on our Bucharest site (resource management, tools, transition plan)
- Managing these projects over the long term, applying best project management practices (planning, workload, project indicators).
Job summaryYour day-to-day responsibilities will include, always in contact with the project diretor and with the support of local teams :
- Set up all the ingredients to ensure the start of our new projects : building the workload, inventory the project requirements, select your resources (qualification & interviews), set up the tools for the project start, make a transition plan (knowledge transfer)
- Manage the projects over the long term : managing the resources (project skills management) and the workload (planning, control of the remaining work, milestone)Building the KPI on project aspects (skills, JIRA...). You will be accountable to manage the technical & operationnal risks of the project.
- To be the main point of contact of the team in France (project director) to work on the previous topics, you will be their most important asset to ensure the success of their project.
- To be the local referent for the project in Bucarest with the local team (management & recruitment teams)
According to your level of experience and the context/complexity of each, you will manage 1 to 3 projects at the time.
Regular travel in France is required, several weeks before and at the start of projects, then regularly thereafter.
Our teams in France and Romania will support you throughout your integration and as you develop your skills.
Professional competencies:Education/Qualification- Educated in a discipline that is compatible with the requirements of Project Management
Requested technical competencies- Experience of project setup including creation of initial Project Plans during the bid phase through requirement capture, work definition, estimating and scheduling that will include all Milestones, activities, and resources
- Experience of project monitoring, control & execution processes, and techniques (for example; WBS, OBS, milestones, dependencies , EVM
- Experience of the Project Management, Transition Management, Risk & Opportunity Management

- Able to work in a complex, multidisciplinary, multi-site organization and multi country
