The Financial Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager at the Shared Service Center for Accounting and Financial control in The Netherlands. Your primary working location will be Tilburg (50% remotely) with some international travelling (<10%).
How you will contribute - Perform daily accounting tasks;
- Managing and maintaining financial records including general ledger accounts and ensuring accuracy;
- Participate in the financial month-end close process;
- Prepare account reconciliations and explanations and correction on any variances;
- Perform analytical review to ensure correctness of the numbers;
- Support in creating insight into OPEX and FTE cost for SG&A supporting functions;
- Support in continuous improvements (process/cooperation/system) to develop to world-class finance, keeping up with the growth of DP world
- Ensure that the organization complies with all financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards and reporting requirements;
- Contribute to the statutory reporting process for the Joint Venture and the subsidiary in Belgium.
What you will bring - Bachelor's level in Accounting, Finance or related field (based on education or working experience) with knowledge on VAT and Tax on wages.
- Professional maturity, 6-10 years relevant working experience in accounting in preferably a multinational environment;
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting;
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel and PowerPoint);
- Experience in SAP, BPC and Power BI would be advantageous;
- Preferably experience with IFRS (especially IFRS 16);
- Fluent in English and French (and preferably also in Dutch).
- Preferably experience with French and/or Belgian (legal) accounting standards;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to workindependently and collaboratively in a team environment.
