The Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire is a resort hotel in the countryside, just 10 minutes from the town of Fleet and Farnham and 45 minutes from London. About the role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented French Polisher to join our Engineering and Maintenance team. You will play a key role in preserving and restoring the beauty of our fine wood furnishings and fixtures throughout the hotel. Your craftsmanship will ensure that our interiors maintain their luxurious finish and timeless elegance, contributing to the exceptional guest experience that Four Seasons is known for.

What you will do

• Carry out French polishing, staining, and finishing on furniture, woodwork, and decorative surfaces.
• Restore and repair damaged wood surfaces to maintain the highest standards of presentation.
• Apply traditional and modern polishing techniques to achieve desired finishes.
• Work closely with the Engineering team to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in excellent condition.
• Respond promptly to guest and operational requests for furniture touch-ups or repairs.

What you will bring

• Proven experience as a French Polisher or in fine wood finishing and restoration.
• Strong knowledge of polishing techniques, stains, varnishes, and finishing materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards related to wood finishing.
