Job DescriptionThe French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore is recruiting a French-speaking Accountant to support the finance operations of an international payments company. This role focuses on financial compliance, reporting, and operational support across France and Singapore, ensuring all activities align with regulatory requirements.
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with French regulatory standards, and supporting daily business operations. You will collaborate closely with finance and compliance teams across multiple jurisdictions to provide timely insights and maintain the integrity of financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, records, and reports in line with French regulatory standards, including regular reporting to the Singapore HQ.
- Tax Compliance: Manage tax filings (VAT, corporate tax) and stay updated on relevant French tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Assist with financial audits by liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with ACPR regulations in France and support internal compliance initiatives.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular financial reconciliations to maintain accurate transaction and balance records.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making and business strategy.
- Operational Support: Oversee daily financial operations in France, including payment processes and evaluating new business initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance financial processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and supports business needs.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluent in French and English to liaise with French-speaking stakeholders.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within fintech or international payments.
- Knowledge of French ACPR regulations and experience ensuring compliance.
- Familiarity with accounting principles, software, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing regulatory requirements.
