French Teacher

Coruña British International School is a highly distinguished British international school the first in the city to gain NABSS (National Association for British Schools in Spain) accreditation. The school's curriculum has been fully approved by both the Galician Government and the British Council, and is considered to be, alongside its sister school in Vigo, one of the foremost British schools in the Galicia region. Founded more than 8 years ago this progressive school with strong family values has delivered the English National Curriculum to hundreds of students and has evolved to meet the needs of modern learners. Students aged three to 14 attend the school and follow the National English Early Years Framework and the English National Curriculum.

We wish to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic French Teacher:

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in French, Modern Foreign Languages, Linguistics or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent international teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching French at primary and/or secondary level, ideally within a British or international school setting.
• Fluency in French at native or near-native level, with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of UK curriculum expectations for Modern Foreign Languages (MFL).
• Ability to design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support language acquisition for learners of mixed abilities.
• Experience using assessment for learning, tracking pupil progress, and providing effective feedback.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with willingness to undergo all required checks.
• Excellent classroom management skills and a positive, student-centred approach.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
