Overview
This role creates engaging, persuasive content in French/Wolof for various channels like ads, social media or websites. Thus crafting compelling narratives that resonates with Target audience specific francophone markets and communities.
Responsibilities
1. Content Creation:
- Develop original and French /Wolof, localised copy for a variety of marketing materials including ads, brochures, websites, emails, social media posts, video scripts, and more.
-Craft compelling headlines, taglines, and calls to action that resonate with the target audience.
2. Client Collaboration:
-Understand client briefs and translate their requirements into creative concepts and copy.
-Participate in client meetings to present copy ideas and receive feedback.
3. Research:
-Conduct thorough research to understand the client's industry, products, services, and target audience.
-Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors' marketing strategies.
4. Editing and Proofreading:
-Review and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
-Proofread all materials to maintain high standards of quality and professionalism.
5. Brand Consistency:
-Ensure all copy adheres to the client's brand voice and style guidelines.
-Maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all marketing channels.
6. Collaboration:
-Work closely with designers, art directors, and other creatives to ensure the visual and textual elements of campaigns are cohesive.
-Collaborate with account managers to understand client needs and project timelines.
7. Project Management:
-Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
-Track and document progress, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time.
8. Innovation:
-Bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table to enhance the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Experiment with different writing techniques and formats to find the most effective approach.
Qualifications
Tertiary: Journalism, Communication, Marketing or related subject
Years of experience
5-6 years as a copywriter, someone who understands digital as well.
Desirable Skills & Other Specifications
The candidate must speak fluent French and English and be able to write professionally.
Preference would go to a candidate that also speaks Wolof (Senegal)
