Innovation Norway is seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded Senior Market Advisor to join our team in Paris. Our office in France helps Norwegian companies enter and expand in the French market by providing local business networks, market intelligence and matchmaking with French partners, distributors, and customer, particularly in sectors where Norway has strong expertise, such as energy, maritime, space, defence, bioeconomy, and digital transformation.
We work closely with individual companies on tailored, one-on-one advisory support, and organize and support delegation visits, conferences and networking events to strengthen ties between Norwegian and French businesses. In addition, we guide Norwegian businesses through French regulatory, cultural, and administrative practices.
You will play a key role in supporting Norwegian companies as they expand into France and other French-speaking markets. You will work closely with ambitious businesses, helping them identify opportunities, build networks, and accelerate growth in one of Europe's most dynamic economies.

Key responsibilities:
- Advise Norwegian companies on market entry, business development, and growth opportunities in France.
- Special focus supporting companies within space, defence, and AI-related initiatives in other sectors in the French market
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry stakeholders, investors, partners, and public institutions.
- Identify emerging market trends, opportunities, and challenges relevant to Norwegian businesses.
- Initiate and lead business promotion activities, delegations, events, and strategic partnerships.
- Contribute to Innovation Norway's mission of increasing Norwegian exports and international competitiveness.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Paris, across Innovation Norway's global network and with partners in Norway and France.
- Work closely with Team Norway France, most notably the Norwegian Embassy in Paris, the French-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and the Norwegian Seafood Council

Qualifications:
- Higher education in business, economics, engineering, international relations, or a related field.
- Strong commercial understanding and experience in business development, consulting, innovation, or international trade.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong knowledge of the French business environment and market dynamics.
- Fluency in English and French; knowledge of a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative international team.
