We are now looking for a French-speaking International Credit Controller to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys working with international customers and managing accounts in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
The RoleAs an International Credit Controller (French Speaking), you will play a key role in managing international customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
You will be responsible for supporting our French customer base and ensuring accounts are accurately maintained, payments are allocated correctly, and outstanding debts are resolved efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and collect outstanding balances across international customer accounts
- Allocate customer payments and reconcile accounts, particularly for French customers
- Produce invoices, credit notes, and monthly customer statements
- Investigate and resolve payment queries, pricing issues, and delivery discrepancies
- Follow up overdue debt and support resolution of payment disputes
- Maintain accurate customer records, logging queries and agreed payment terms
- Liaise with Customer Services, Sales teams, and Account Managers to resolve issues
- Process rebates, commissions, and other customer-related charges
- Support Letters of Credit (LC) tracking and reconciliation
- Conduct credit checks and liaise with external credit agencies
- Provide audit support and documentation as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the Finance function
About YouWe are looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and confident communicating with customers in both English and French.
Essential Requirements:- Fluent French (written and spoken)
- Minimum 2 years' Credit Control experience
- Experience with payment allocation and account reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confident communication skills and ability to manage customer relationships
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Finance qualification (or studying towards) such as AAT, CICM, CIMA, or ACCA
- Experience working with international accounts
Desirable Skills - Additional languages such as German or Arabic
