Optimal, on behalf of its client, a leading company in the field of
travel industry, is seeking an experienced and motivated
Project Manager to join their
MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Team.
Your Impact as a MICE Project ManagerThis is more than a role in event planning; it's a strategic partnership with clients. You will join a dynamic M.I.C.E. Department, serving as the architect for events that leave a lasting impression. You will have the opportunity to manage high-impact projects from conception to completion for a diverse portfolio of international clients.
In this dynamic role, you will be empowered to:
- Spearhead the creation of enticing, detailed proposals and budgets, strategically negotiating with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs and maximize value.
- Manage the end-to-end response process for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), crafting compelling submissions that showcase the company's unique offerings.
- Lead the execution of MICE projects from concept to completion, including performing site inspections and overseeing on-site operations in Greek destinations (Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, etc.).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate the MICE back-office team to ensure complete operational support and execution.
- Proactively develop cross-selling opportunities, promoting services to enrich client experiences and drive business growth.
- Ensure meticulous financial management, from timely billing submissions to post-event reconciliation and reporting.
The Profile of the Ideal CandidateWe seek a professional who combines excellent communication skills with a dedication to delivering high-quality, memorable experiences through event planning.
Essential Foundations: - Proven experience as a Project Manager within the travel industry, with specialization in event planning).
- In-depth knowledge of Greek MICE destinations, including hotels, restaurants, venues, and unique local experiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and/or French.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
