Middle Java Full Stack Engineer (French Language)

About the role

In this role, you will contribute to the modernization and evolution of a highly customizable enterprise pricing platform that supports business-critical operations. Working across backend and frontend layers, you will develop new capabilities, enhance existing functionality, and help integrate the platform with external systems while collaborating with a distributed international team.
Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features across a Java-based enterprise application, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability
• Implement and customize business logic through Spring MVC components, Hibernate-based data access layers, and application-specific extension mechanisms to support Client requirements
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, business stakeholders, QA engineers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions and improve system capabilities
• Develop and enhance user interfaces using JSP, Servlets, JavaScript, jQuery, and component libraries such as ag-Grid
• Configure and extend XML-driven workflows, validations, UI components, and application behavior within a highly customizable framework
• Build and maintain integrations with external platforms and third-party services using SOAP and REST APIs
• Create and manage database schema changes, migrations, and data updates using Liquibase and relational database technologies
• Contribute to troubleshooting, performance optimization, testing, and deployment activities across the application lifecycle

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java and Java EE development
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, including Spring MVC and dependency injection concepts
• Solid expertise in Hibernate ORM, relational databases, and SQL development
• Experience working with JSP, Servlets, and traditional server-side web applications
• Strong understanding of XML-based configurations, workflow engines, and enterprise application customization patterns
• Experience implementing event-driven extensions, hooks, or framework customization mechanisms within complex applications
• Experience integrating external systems through SOAP and REST web services
• Practical knowledge of Liquibase for database versioning and schema management
• Familiarity with Maven, JUnit, Mockito, and application servers such as Tomcat
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Good communication skills and ability to contribute within distributed international teams
• Intermediate French level for communication with the French-speaking team
• Upper-intermediate English level
• Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery, and building interactive UI components and working with libraries such as ag-Grid (nice to have)
