Record to Report Senior Accounting Specialist with French (Fixed Assets)

Amer Sports is looking for a Record to Report (RtR) Senior Accounting Specialist with French to join our RTR team in Kraków. In this role, you'll take ownership of key accounting processes related to fixed assets and leases, ensuring high-quality and timely month-end closing, reconciliations, and compliance with IFRS and internal controls.If you're an experienced GL accountant with a passion for process improvement, this role offers the opportunity to grow in a dynamic, international environment.

What you will be doing:

• Fixed Assets Management: Create and maintain fixed assets, manage assets under construction, and post depreciation entries.
• Lease Accounting: Handle lease contracts in line with IFRS 16 - create, modify, and process contracts as needed.
• Account Reconciliation: Review and reconcile fixed asset and lease-related balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate period-end reporting.
• Period-End Close: Independently execute daily, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc closing tasks according to the group schedule and team assignments.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal, interim, and year-end audits by providing documentation and resolving audit queries.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate with internal teams to address discrepancies and support process efficiency.
• Process Documentation: Maintain and update operational documentation, including process maps and DTPs.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with operational procedures and policies.
• Process Improvement: Identify and propose improvements in assigned accounting processes.
• Team Contribution: Support the team lead and mentor less experienced colleagues, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
• Other Projects: Take part in additional accounting tasks and cross-functional projects as needed.

What you need to succeed:

• 4+ years in general ledger / RtR accounting
• Solid experience with fixed asset and lease accounting (IFRS 16 or ASC 842)
• Fluent French and English (min. B2, written and spoken)
• Knowledge of SAP Finance; experience with lease accounting tools like Nakisa, CoStar, Tango is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Blackline is an asset
• Understanding of SOX/internal control frameworks
• Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-directed and innovative mindset
