SAP Technical Development Lead (Bilingual: French & English)

Responsibilities:

The Technical lead role is a senior technical resource that is responsible for the management, coordination, Quality Assurance and delivery of technical objects required on a project i.e. specifications, development and testing of the technical objects (Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Workflows). They oversee, estimate, and then allocate tasks to a team of developers in accordance with the timeline required for the project.

• Senior SAP Developer to lead technical development teams on projects
• Ability to plan and execute FRICEW work according to project plan
• Assign tasks to the project Development team and supervise their progress and status
• Active support, guidance, and coaching of junior resources in the execution of their work to ensure a solid performance and enable them to grow in the company
• Coordinate work within the Development team and establish cooperation between technical and functional consultants within the project
• Ability to interface with all stakeholders of a project (i.e. Functional Consultants, Project Managers, Leads, Directors, VP's, clients)
• Perform ABAP FRICE estimation & True-up
• Participate in project status meetings to present the status and progress of the FRICE objects
• Mentor project Development team and enforce SAP best practices and Syntax SAP Development standards
• Perform Project QA - ensure adherence to Development standards and best practices, with the focus on high quality standards
• Work closely with the Competency Lead / Director and reporting status regularly
• Strong ABAP project management experience
• Strong development skills custom enhancements, interfaces, reports and transactions in accordance with technical and functional specifications.
• Create technical documentation as well as execute and document tests.
• Be able to participate in detailed design, realization, documentation, testing, and support.
• Have a solid understanding of SAP functional processes (preferable)
• Consult on all SAP related technical matters including custom programming, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
• Maintain and assist with the organizing and preparation of our internal SAP technical demonstration systems to support the sales team as required.
• Actively work on staying current with the latest technology advancements from SAP in the areas of your core competence.
• Always keep in mind and help to promote Syntax's objectives of offering superior customer service to its clients and our goal of 'Total Customer Satisfaction' to establish long term client relationships

Required Skills and Experience:

Must Have

• Must be able to communicate in English and French (Bilingual)
• 10+ years of SAP technical experience
• Minimum 5 full life cycle implementations of SAP
• Previous experience in leading a Development team on at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations
• S/4 HANA Experience and good understanding of S/4 HANA concepts and related technologies.
• Solid hands-on ABAP technical knowledge
• Should be very well aware of evolving SAP technologies and be willing to learn new Technologies as needed.
• Must have led a project team of 5+ team members.
• Must be good at multi-tasking
• Must be able to mentor project team members, and advise on SAP best practice and standards

Nice To Have

• Exposure to modern SAP Technologies like, RESTFul ABAP, Flexible Workflows, Adobe Fragmented Forms, Custom Fields and Logic etc.
• Exposure to Fiori, OData technologies.
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Experience in Public Cloud projects
• Experience in conversions and upgrades
