About the roleAs a Secondary School Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education that equips students with the skills, knowledge, and values needed to thrive. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, set high expectations, and use varied teaching strategies to support all learners, including those with specific needs or exceptional abilities. You'll monitor progress, assess student outcomes, and provide meaningful feedback to students, parents, and colleagues. Your active participation in school life-through meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives-will help foster a vibrant, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
• To comply with the Company safeguarding procedures, processes and code of conduct.
• To demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding through your actions.
• To ensure that any safeguarding concerns or incidents are reported appropriately.
• To attend safeguarding training when joining the company and when required.
Key Accountabilities:
• Model and deliver outstanding practice in own subject area(s) using a variety of delivery methods which supports, challenges and stretches students as appropriate to ensure the demands of the syllabus are meet, if not exceeded.
• To participate in all aspects of monitoring student progress and attainment, including the provision of written records in line with policies and procedures.
• To work with appropriate personnel to identify and implement achievable solutions where students are not perceived to be achieving their full potential.
• To assist the subject leader in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work & teaching strategies.
• To support the provision of pastoral care across the school, with particular emphasis on any designated specific groups of students.
• To use data, both externally & internally produced, to assess student performance and to develop appropriate courses of action
• To maintain a level of personal development to ensure that subject knowledge & teaching methods continue to be enhanced.
• To work as a member of a team, positively contributing to effective working relations and deployment

Who we are looking for:To contribute to raising standards of student achievement in French and Music by teaching a timetable of lessons and supporting the subject leader in the achievement of whole school and department goals as stated in the school's strategic plan.
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (MFP) or equivalent
- Music studies
- French: C1/C2 or native speaker
