What you're applying for
We are seeking an (Senior) Underwriting Associate with underwriting, claims, or customer support experience - ideally in home insurance in the French market.
As part of our dynamic Underwriting team, you'll dive deep into complex scenarios while assisting our customers, making risk-based decisions, and contributing to the development and organization of team practices.
What you'll do- Play a key role in shaping the underwriting guidelines and processes for home insurance products in multiple countries
- Initiate and contribute to high-level projects aimed at automating processes and improving team efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to other team members, serving as a trusted resource
- Review policies about to renew and decide whether they're eligible for renewal
- Review suspicious policies and take proactive steps to mitigate risk
- Make decisions on internal referrals and on policies up for review using our underwriting guidelines and your experience and knowledge
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding underwriting investigations and decisions
What you'll need- You speak and write English and French fluently
- 2+ years of home insurance experience in Underwriting
- Knowledge of the home insurance landscape in France, including relevant regulation and practices
- Confidence interpreting policy documents (including underwriting guidelines), and making decisions in the spirit of our underwriting philosophy
- Demonstrable communication, data analysis, and project management skills
- Superior problem-solving abilities, proven collaborative spirit, and the ability to learn quickly
