Talented People is working on an exceptional opportunity for a French-speaking Showrunner to lead a premium three-part documentary series for a major global streamer. This is a playful, mischievous project that's anything but serious, with bags of personality and warmth.

The Role

We're seeking a Showrunner who can craft a compelling narrative with a cheeky, irreverent tone whilst maintaining premium production values. This project demands someone who can find the comedy and emotion in everyday moments, blend intimate storytelling with humour, and create something stylish yet addictive that respects intelligence without forgetting to be thoroughly entertaining.

This is for someone who gets that extraordinary people living ordinary lives can be both profound and ridiculous - and knows how to capture that magic on camera.

Essential Requirements

• Fluency in French is non-negotiable
• Proven Showrunner experience on premium documentary content with a light touch
• Exceptional writing skills with a natural sense of humour and warmth
• Experience working with high-profile talent in intimate, personal settings
• Ability to navigate complex tonal shifts - from playful observation to touching authenticity
• Strong visual storytelling instincts and contemporary aesthetic sensibilities
• Very strong edit skills
• Flexibility to travel regularly to Paris
• Available to start between now and September 2025

The Details

Part-time from July - September possible, full-time from then. Approximately 12 months with potential extension. Hybrid working arrangement with regular travel to Paris.
