The Role:
- Provide strong and visionary leadership for the French department, setting the strategic direction and ensuring the curriculum aligns with national standards and ignites a passion for the French language and culture.
- Lead the development and delivery of a stimulating and engaging French program across all year groups (KS3, GCSE, A-Level).
- Champion the importance of languages throughout the school, fostering interdisciplinary learning and global citizenship skills.
- Empower and inspire a team of talented French teachers, fostering professional development and a positive working environment.
- Oversee the budget and resources for the French department, ensuring they are effectively utilized to create an immersive learning environment.
You're a Perfect Fit If:
- You hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in French and a proven track record of successful leadership experience in a school setting.
- You possess a deep understanding of the National Curriculum for French and a passion for innovative teaching methods that bring language learning to life.
- You have a demonstrable fluency in French and a strong understanding of French culture.
- You have a proven ability to motivate, inspire, and lead a team of teachers towards achieving outstanding results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is paramount.
