About the role

Key responsibilities include:
  • Identify clear learning and teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught and assessed.
  • Set high expectations for students' behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships.
  • To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of learning and teaching strategies.
  • Ensure students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught.

About you

You should possess:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject and curriculum knowledge of Languages.
  • Ability to teach across a range of students of different ages and abilities.
  • A dedicated commitment to raising standards and supporting students at risk of underachievement.

Priory Community School is currently part of The Priory Learning Trust, a group of like-minded schools whose shared ambition is to provide A Great Education for Every Child. From September, we will be part of the newly formed Pathway Trust.
