UI/UX Designer, French (Part Time)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer (20-30 hours per week) with fluency in French and a strong background in designing eCommerce, marketplace or B2B SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing user-centric solutions, creating prototypes, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to shape our products.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the entire design process, from user insights/research to high-fidelity prototypes
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into user-friendly designs
• Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across products
• Conduct user research, usability testing, utilize analytics tools and analyze feedback to constantly enhance the user experience
• Advocate for user-centric design principles and best practices across the team
• Being the mediator of customer needs, business goals and technical efficiency
• Stay informed about the latest trends in UX design, eCommerce, marketplace platforms and B2B SaaS applications

What You Bring

Essential Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in UX/UI design
• Deep understanding of user-centric design principles and UX best practices
• An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious
• Proficiency in prototyping and design tools
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic approach to balancing user needs and business objectives
• Understanding of the technical implications of your design decisions and knowing when to compromise
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills and the capability to work independently
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in an agile environment
• Experience with Figma
• Experience working with established design systems e.g., Material UI, Ant Design
• Experience or background in graphic design
• Experience with eCommerce, marketplaces, B2B SaaS products
• Practical knowledge of Hotjar, Google Analytics, and other analytics tools
• Knowledge of product management
