Your next step up is in Lisbon

The move

If you already manage a team and the next rung is not opening up where you are, this is that rung. You would manage up to four Operations Supervisors, each with a team of up to 15, so roughly 60 people sit under you. Your day is coaching the people who coach, reading the numbers, holding the standard and taking the escalations that get past everyone else.

The account is B2B advertising sales for a major global social media platform, run out of an international customer experience company's Lisbon site. It is a household name, it is a real commercial operation rather than a support queue, and it looks like what it is on a CV.

Why Lisbon

English is the working language on the account, so you can start on day one without Portuguese. Lisbon is a genuine hub for this kind of work, which means the next move after this one is also in the same city. And the office is a short ride from the Atlantic, with fixed Monday to Friday hours that leave the evenings and weekends actually yours.

The accommodation part

The hardest thing about moving countries is usually finding somewhere to live before you arrive. There is a company apartment option here: take it and your base drops from 2,158 EUR to 1,684 EUR gross per month, and the flat is sorted before you land. Take the higher salary instead and you find your own place. Both are on the table.

What you need to bring

• English at C1 or higher
  
• Around two years leading teams, or solid supervisor experience and readiness to step up.​
  
• A sales background. Advertising sales, media sales, agency or digital marketing all count.​
  
• The judgement to handle an escalation and the patience to coach someone through the next one
  
• Readiness to relocate to Lisbon
  

What is on offer

• 2,158 EUR gross per month, or 1,684 EUR gross per month if you take the company-provided apartment
