French Speaking Senior Payroll Specialist

Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Collecting and organizing payroll inputs during the month, consolidate them by the payroll closing and share it with the payroll provider
  • Checking the monthly payroll output file prepared by the payroll service provider, processing necessary changes and sending the final, checked and accurate payroll data for approval
  • Review payroll output reports and distribute them to the right department.
  • Handling salary funding and transfer related processes, approvals
  • Handling all payroll related queries coming from the employees during the month. First point of contact for employees for any payroll related questions
  • First point of contact for the payroll vendor. Daily cooperation with the vendor in multiple language (English, French).
  • Annual reviews with the vendor to apply any labor law related changes (tax, cafeteria, etc.)
  • Assist audits, facilitate issue resolution if necessary
  • Collaborating with HR business partners, other relevant teams, Finance team and the payroll provider in order to make sure 100% accurate and smooth payroll for each month
  • Perform regular control evaluations to identify possible risks
  • Participate in special projects related to assigned markets

The minimum qualifications for this role are:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and minimum of 1-2 years of experience in similar field, however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration
  • Knowledge and experience of payroll processing, payroll system and data flow are required.
  • Having payroll experience within multiple countries is an advantage
  • Knowledge of HR IT applications, particularly in shared service operations is an advantage
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Analytical thinking , attention to details
  • Must possess a strong focus on customer service with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of management and external vendors via multiple sources such as telephone, email, etc.
  • Must possess the ability to learn and retain information related to HR Programs, Policies and Procedures
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to facilitate and manage change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities that requires decision-making capabilities
  • Strong excel skills and ability to analyze and interpret and present data
  • Fluent English and French knowledge is a must (verbally and in written)
