Junior Immigration Consultant (French Inbound)

Date de publication 06.05.2026

Job Description

Contract: Permanent

Team: France Inbound

Office Location: Poland (Warsaw or Krakow) or Sheffield

The role:

A Junior Immigration Consultant at Fragomen plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of immigration services under the guidance of Senior Consultants and Managers. On a daily basis, the role involves preparing and drafting visa and permit applications, monitoring workflows, and updating the firm's immigration management system within established service level timelines. The Junior Consultant acts as a first point of liaison with clients - responding to calls and emails professionally, while also conducting research, compiling documentation, and escalating issues as needed.

We are looking for 2 Junior Consultants to work as part of the French Inbound team. While most team members are based in Paris, the team also operates across other European locations, including these two roles, which will be based in either Poland or Sheffield.

The position works independently on standard cases while gaining exposure to more complex matters and collaborates across internal teams to enhance efficiency. Strong communication, attention to detail, time management, and a client-focused mindset are essential. Previous experience in visa processing is beneficial but not mandatory, as Fragomen provides structured support and development.

What your day will look like:

  • Assist with new client engagements by drafting clear and comprehensive engagement letters
  • Set up and update case files on the internal case management system in a timely manner and per defined nomenclature
  • Use firm technology and digital tools effectively to ensure accurate and efficient work processing
  • Draft and amend detailed support letters for a wide range of visa applications
  • Complete and amend online application forms with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Draft cover letters and memos for direct client use within strict and time-sensitive deadlines
  • Schedule visa appointments, arrange and track payment of application fees, and liaise with third-party agents as necessary
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders in a professional, empathetic, and service-oriented manner
  • Identify potential service issues (e.g., delays or missing documents) and escalate complex cases or non-compliance scenarios to senior staff
  • Assist with various ad hoc administrative functions to support overall team operations (inclusive but not limited of billing, rejections, reporting etc...)
  • Follow firm procedures relating to file maintenance, record keeping, and system usage consistently
  • Archive paper files consistently and regularly in line with established firm protocols

The team:

The team is made up of thirty immigration specialists with a range of different backgrounds. It is a multilingual team (with around 10 languages spoken) and clients are divided across several sub-teams, with the office handling approximately 6,000 immigration cases per year.

What we are looking for:

Essential criteria:
  • A law (or equivalent) degree is preferred but not essential
  • Prior experience in corporate or professional immigration, compliance, or a similar role in a client focused immigration solutions provision environment is preferred but not essential
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, including clients
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage case-related documentation accurately
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured, fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and discretion when working with confidential information
  • A proactive and accountable approach to work, with the ability to work independently and follow through on responsibilities
  • A positive and dependable team player who contributes to a strong team culture in a nearshore environment
  • A minimum of B2 level French proficiency is required

Preferred skills:
  • Familiarity with the French corporate/professional immigration process and relevant authorities
  • Experience using immigration casework, workflow, or document management systems
  • Exposure to legal, compliance, or professional services environments

A career at Fragomen will provide you with the opportunity to work in an exciting environment for a broad range of clients, where no two days will be the same. You will face interesting challenges, and will work with dedicated, friendly and ambitious people, where providing exceptional client service is at the core of what we do. We are extremely proud of our diverse workforce at Fragomen, and we are fully committed to providing equal opportunities.

  • Professional development support
  • Hybrid work arrangements: The Firm operates a hybrid working policy which supports flexibility. Depending on your role, you can agree with your manager a minimum number of days per week working in your local office. Flexibility is important, and additional days in the office may be required based on your role, and / or team and business need.

What to expect:
  • Once you have submitted your application, our Talent Acquisition team will review your skills and experience. If these match the requirements of the position, a member of our team will contact you to schedule an initial phone call.
  • If shortlisted, you will be invited to participate in our interview process, which will consist of at least two stages, one of which will be conducted in-person. Depending on the role, you may also be required to complete a written assessment.
  • After the interviews, we will carefully evaluate all candidates and make our final decision. You will be notified of the outcome and feedback will be provided.
