The French International School in Hong Kong will possibly be recruiting a
Literature teacher to work in the French Secondary Stream American Section from mid-August 2025.
The American section of the International Option of the French Baccalaureate combines the breadth and rigor of the French Baccalaureate with extra subjects taught and examined in English, resulting in a bilingual, bicultural diploma. Students in the BFI (Baccalauréat Français International) program have the opportunity to take English language and literature and History and Geography courses taught from an American perspective by certified anglophone teachers.
FIS team is comprised of teachers from different nationalities working together to help the students achieve academic excellence in a nurturing environment.
Job Position:
- Full-time position teaching 20 periods of 55 minutes per week
- Teaching responsibilities include the English Language and Literature component of the American Section (Section Internationale Américaine) drama, or ESL.
Requirements- Well qualified with an internationally accepted degree and teaching qualification from an anglophone country.
- Native speakers of English
- Dynamic, forward-looking professional with the experience and skills to contribute to a dynamic faculty;
- Passionate about learning and teaching and set high expectations for every student;
- Able to work collaboratively with a team of teachers
- Internationally-minded and culturally sensitive
- Committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Able and willing to teach both Middle and High School level (6th to 12th Grades)
- Priority will be given to a candidate with working knowledge of French and an additional qualification in drama
