Our client, a leading multinational company in the packaging industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant who is fluent in French to join their team. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the general ledger accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and reports.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the day-to-day general ledger accounting activities
Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions into the general ledger
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations
Analyze and interpret financial data to support decision-making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Participate in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes
Train and mentor junior accounting staff
Assist with internal and external audits

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related roles
Fluency in French is required
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements
